Travel Fees & Mobile Notary Pricing
Arlene Mobile Notary Services offers transparent pricing for mobile notary appointments throughout Philadelphia and surrounding Pennsylvania counties. Whether you need a document notarized at your home, office, hospital, nursing facility, or another convenient location, you'll know the cost before your appointment is confirmed.
Pennsylvania law establishes the maximum fee a notary may charge for the notarial act itself. Mobile notary service is a separate convenience service that includes travel, scheduling, appointment coordination, and bringing a commissioned Pennsylvania Notary Public directly to your location.
Every appointment is quoted individually based on travel distance, document type, appointment location, time requirements, and any additional services requested.

Mobile Notary Fees
Mobile notary appointments start at $60. Final pricing depends on the type and location of the appointment, travel requirements, number of notarial acts and signers, and any additional services requested.
Every client receives an itemized quote before the appointment is confirmed, so you'll know the total cost in advance. There are never any hidden fees.
- Mobile Notary Appointments: Starting at $60, including travel within the standard service area and one notarial certificate. Additional notarial acts, travel, parking, waiting time, or requested services may affect the final quoted price.
- Hospital Visits: Starting at a $100 minimum service fee. Hospital appointments often require additional time for parking, facility access, security and check-in procedures, locating the patient or signer, and waiting for the signer or medical staff to become available. Additional charges may apply for parking, extended waiting time, additional travel, multiple documents or notarial acts, or other special circumstances.
- Nursing Home, Rehabilitation & Care Facility Appointments: Fees are based on travel time, facility access, parking, appointment duration, document type, and the number of notarial acts required. Extended waiting time, multiple signers, or other special circumstances may affect the final quoted price.
- Extended Travel: Appointments outside the standard service area or requiring significant travel time may be subject to an additional travel fee. The additional fee will be disclosed before the appointment is confirmed.
- Estate Planning, Real Estate & Property Documents: Starting at $150. This category includes Powers of Attorney, Last Wills and Testaments, Healthcare Directives, Trust Documents, Deeds, Property Transfers, Mortgage and Loan Documents, and Real Estate Closing Documents. Pricing varies based on travel, document package size, number of notarial acts, printing, scanbacks, and appointment complexity.
- After-Hours Appointment Policy: Regular mobile notary appointments are scheduled through 6:00 PM. Appointments accepted beginning at 6:00 PM are considered premium after-hours appointments and are subject to an additional convenience fee. Same-day, after-hours, weekend, and holiday appointments are offered based on availability and are not guaranteed.
- Sunday Appointments: Sunday service is available only by special arrangement and, when accepted, is subject to premium pricing. Sunday appointments are not part of regular business hours and availability is not guaranteed.
- Document Printing: Documents may be printed from emailed PDF files for an additional fee. Printing services are not included with any appointment unless specifically stated in your quote.
- Scanbacks: Scanback fees vary based on the number of pages and required turnaround time. Any applicable scanback fee will be included in your quote.
- Witness Services: Professional witnesses may be available by advance request. Additional witness fees apply. Witness availability is not guaranteed unless confirmed in advance.
- Payment: Payment is accepted by Cash, Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Pay, along with other approved payment methods. Prepayment is required for Remote Online Notary (RON), emergency, extended-distance, after-hours, Sunday, or specially scheduled appointments.

Loan Signing and Real Estate Notary Fees
Loan signing and real estate appointments may include document printing, borrower identification, signing table coordination, completion of notarial certificates, scanbacks, and shipping preparation through FedEx or UPS when required by the title company, lender, attorney, or signing service.
Final pricing depends on the number of pages, number of signers, travel location, scanback requirements, shipping instructions, and appointment urgency.
Identification Required for Every Notary Appointment
All signers must personally appear before the notary and present valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification. A photocopy, screenshot, picture, or digital image of identification is not acceptable.
If a signer does not have acceptable identification, credible witnesses may be permitted when Pennsylvania notary requirements are satisfied. Required credible witnesses must personally appear and present acceptable identification.
When a Notarization Cannot Be Completed
If a notarization cannot be completed for reasons beyond the Notary Public's control and through no fault of the Notary, the applicable minimum travel/service fee remains due.
Common reasons include expired, invalid, or missing identification; incomplete or incorrect documents; signer incapacity; an unwilling signer; missing required witnesses; blank or incomplete documents; inability to communicate directly with the signer; or unclear or improper notarial instructions.
For standard mobile notary appointments, the $60 minimum travel/service fee applies. For hospital appointments, once the Notary has traveled to and arrived at the facility, the $100 hospital minimum service fee remains due, even if the notarization cannot be completed.
Applicable parking, tolls, extended travel, after-hours, Sunday, or specially arranged service charges may also apply as disclosed when the appointment is scheduled.
