Remote Online Notary - RON

Many people confuse E-Notary with Remote Notary, believing they are the same. They are not.

When using the Remote feature, each person involved in the transaction is currently required to have either FireFox or Google Chrome when using Windows, the latest Safari on latest Mac OS, Chrome on Android, and if using IOS such as IPad or IPhone it must be iOS 11 or higher with Safari version 11 or higher. This feature will not work without the correct browser respective to the device.

Each participant will be required to have their identity verified through a verification process using a third party provider to enable these services. There is a fee for each request made for verification that the participant is responsible for.

Eligible for RON?

The notary must vet each signer, and if the signers do not answer all question with yes, they will not be able to pass the ID verification as the third party providers usually only have data on U.S. citizens only.

Only after you have successfully completed ID Verification, our system then connects you and us by videoconference (recorded) on our web-based audio/visual platform.

The Notary will process the documents, affix the Seal, and make a record of the signing with you on the audio/video connection.

Act 97 of 2020, effective October 29, 2020 made Remote Online Notarization (RON) a permanent part of Pennsylvania law.

Vetting Each Signer

United States Citizen

Valid Social Security Number - Even though the system need the last 4 digits, if the signer do not have a SSN number, more likely than not you will not be in any of the credit bureau databases

Valid U.S. Driver's License - This is also a requirement in order for the third party to be able to find questions only the signer knows
Valid Passport

Credit History - Technically, if you do not have credit history in the U.S., you are not going to pass the ID verification

Make sure your credit reports are not locked. Because of the compromises in recent years it may be locked, and if that is the case they will fail.

Valid U.S. Mobile Number - VOIP, Google Voice, Cable provided lines, etc. are not accepted, and it MUST be an actual mobile number from a mobile provider

DO NOT send us your ID We must use a third-party system to verify your identity. Our system will e-mail you a link to start the ID Verification process after you have paid for the session

Remote Online Notary Fees

One Signer $40 one seal

Two Signers $85 one + seals

Real Estate 2 signers $100 two + seals

Real Estate 4 signers $180 two + seals

The Remote Online Notary is $85 via Venmo before we start the process. ID Verification process cost of $5.00 per signer is included.

The notary or DocVerify is not responsible for the verification process. If a signer do not pass the ID Verification the notary CANNOT proceed. You have two chances to pass each time the fee is $5.00. There is no refund for the notary time and process.

Email me your document as a pdf or upload it on my the contact page I will mark up your document for digital signing and upload it to DocVerify. I specify the signer(s) online each signer(s) will receive an email to link to join the online notary session.
